Degas' Little Dancer by Wesley Middleton Directed by Jennifer Ridgway Appropriate for grades K and up. At the sixth impressionist exhibition in the spring of 1881, celebrated painter, Edgar Degas presented the only sculpture that he would ever exhibit in public. Middleton's Degas' Little Dancer explores the imagination of a young dancer meeting the famous artist. Celebrating their passions, together, they dream and dance in the joy of discovering who they truly are. Study guides (NCTYPlayguides) are provided for each of our staged productions. The NCTYPlayguides contain activities, games, and information that prepare students to engage in the theatre experience and make connections to classroom curriculum.
